Jason Spiess is a multimedia journalist, entrepreneur and content consultant. Spiess has over 25 years of media experience in broadcasting, journalism, reporting and principal ownership in media companies. (30+ years if you count his time as a newspaper delivery boy)
Spiess has worked in the areas of oil and gas, UAS and precision agriculture, health care, agriculture, real estate, government affairs and economic development.
Spiess is also the host of several radio programs – Building the Bakken, Texas OilField Review, MonDak OilField Review and Coffee & Capitalism Radio – is consistently distributed by 25 radio stations. All his radio programs and interviews are posted as podcasts on iTunes and videos on other online platforms like YouTube and FaceBook Watch.
In addition to his radio programs, Spiess writes columns, articles and special features for a variety of newspapers and magazines. Overall The Crude Life’s Content has been seen in over 20 print publications ranging from The Oilman Magazine to the Fallon County Times to the Bismarck Tribune to the New York Times.
Spiess has also worked as a guest correspondent for a number of local and global news organizations from 660 KEYZ AM Williston to CNBC to the BBC World. He has also won numerous regional and national awards from the newspaper and broadcast industry.
Spiess engages in one-on-one, in-depth conversations and roundtable discussions that center around topics that impact communities and culture. His non-political approach to subjects and non-polarizing discourse, provide the venue for an intelligent conversation.
