Samer El Issa, MBA, P.Eng., is the Managing Director of FloSeer. He holds an MBA from Cornell University and has over two decades of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a background in automation, control systems, and flow measurement, including custody transfer.
Throughout his career, Samer has held roles in global sales, marketing, and project management, with a focus on operational performance and business growth. Prior to FloSeer, he worked with Emerson Automation, where he contributed to automation and measurement solutions across the energy sector.
At FloSeer, Samer leads the development and delivery of software solutions for bulk liquid loading operations. The company’s primary product, ValiChex, is designed for terminals, refineries, and logistics operators, providing real-time validation of custody transfer volumes through analysis of tank level and flow data. The platform supports automated ticket generation by performing continuous material balance calculations and identifying discrepancies such as leaks, measurement variances, or system errors.
In addition to his work in oil and gas technology, Samer actively manages a personal investment portfolio, utilizing financial instruments including options, futures, ETFs, precious metals, and bonds.
His areas of focus include leadership, business strategy, project management, business development, marketing, and finance.
